Wayne Township residents are invited to participate in the annual clean-up day, which will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until Noon at the Wayne Township Municipal Building, located at 1418 Wampum Road, Ellwood City, PA 16117. This event is for Wayne Township residents only. Proof of residency is required. Sturgeon Sets School Record At MAC Championships, Earns MVP

Delaney Sturgeon earned top ten finishes in four events at the 2025 MAC Championships held at Shenango High School on Wednesday afternoon. Her top mark in the Girls High Jump (5-07.00) set a new school record breaking a near four decade mark of 5’6″ set back in 1986 by Debby Plavecsky. Sturgeon also earned a 3rd place finish in Girls 100m Hurdles (15.87), 6th place finish in the Girls Triple Jump (34-08.00) and 8th place finish in the Girls Long Jump (16-03.00). Ellwood City Man Sentenced to 21 Years in Prison For Coercing Minor to Produce & Send Child Sexual Abuse Material

PITTSBURGH – A former resident of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, was sentenced in federal court on April 22, 2025, to 252 months of incarceration, to be followed by 15 years of supervised release, on his conviction of coercion and enticement of a minor, and production and receipt of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor, Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced today. EC, RHS Baseball Teams Each Collect 10th Victories Of Season

The Ellwood City and Riverside baseball teams each collected their 10th victories of the regular season on Tuesday. The Wolverines easily dispatched visiting Beaver Falls 15-0 in four innings at Sanders Field in Ewing Park while the Panthers knocked off Quaker Valley 4-1 at home.  Both teams will next play road games to round out their respective two-games series. Borough Council Gives Commendation to Mayor Anthony Court

Ellwood City Borough Council gave Mayor Anthony Court a commendation during Monday’s Borough Council Meeting. The commendation, presented by Council President Brad Ovial was given in reignition of Court’s receipt of the “Community Service Award” by Vision Ministries for his dedication to the Ellwood City Community.
