The Junior Class of Ellwood City Lincoln High School dedicated the 2024–2025 school year to fundraising and planning for the highly anticipated Junior/Senior Prom. Their efforts culminated in a memorable evening on Friday, May 2, 2025, as the annual prom was held at the Steamfitters Pittsburgh Event Center in Harmony, Pennsylvania. Covert Shoots Lowest Score Of Spring, Leads BC3 Golf Team to 7-0 Start

Butler, PA – Lincoln High School graduate, Mitchell Covert, shot his lowest score of the spring Friday and won medalist honor for the second time in his past three matches as the Butler County Community College men’s golf team defeated the Community College of Allegheny County and moved to 7-0. Covert birdied four of six consecutive holes on the front nine and finished with a 3-over 75 at Lake Arthur Golf Club. Riverside Jr-Sr Promenade will be held at Riverside High School on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the high school auditorium. EXTENDED! 2025 Hometown Heroes Banner Program Submission Deadline Extended

The 2025 Ellwood City Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program has extended its deadline. You can now submit your information through Monday, May 5th to have a banner proudly displayed around Ellwood City as part of this initiative. The program was originated by Gabrielle Gretch, a Riverside graduate, who sought to start the project in October 2020 and is now being coordinated by Joseph Fisher. Wolverines Baseball, Softball Teams Each Collect 10-Run Victories

Ellwood City baseball and softball teams each cruised to 10-run victories on Thursday. Ellwood City baseball defeated Shenango on the road 16-6 while the softball team took care of Quaker Valley 13-3 at home. For the Wolverines baseball team, an offensive onslaught produced 20 hits in the victory. Aaron Lake (3-4, 3 runs, 5 RBIs) led the charge with three extra base hits including a grand slam homerun in the fourth inning.
