Lincoln Graduate Gets First Career Sack Against Cornell

Nicholas Ioanilli, Lincoln graduate of 2016 is now attending Colgate and playing for their football team as a middle linebacker. Last week, Colgate squared up against Cornell, leaving the opposing team in the dust with a final score of 21-7. Ionanilli was excited about his first sack. “It felt so good –really amazing! A Letter From the Borough: Political Signs on Borough Property

No candidate for political office, whether local, county, state or federal, shall post any political signs on Borough property without registering at the Municipal Building, 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City PA 16117. The registration procedure involves a $50 deposit, which will be returned if the following regulations are complied with: no sign shall be placed prior to four weeks before the date of election and must be removed within five days after the election. Top Floor of Old Boiler Room Taken Down

The tallest of the buildings being demolished on Lawrence Avenue, known previously as the Boiler Room, finally had the top floor removed yesterday. The building was structured with large steel beams that had to be carefully removed before it was able to be torn down to the same level as the other two old storefronts. Police cruisers blocked off a small portion of Lawrence Avenue to prepare for the collapse in case any debris fell into the roadway, none of which did. BC3 Golfers Eye 5th WPCC Crown in Row Behind Eye-Opening Play of Latecomer

Butler, PA – The Butler County Community College golf team’s chances – and spirits – are soaring ahead of this weekend’s Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference championships, as are tee shots from Tyler Good’s newfound low-ball flight setting. Since joining BC3 after its third match of the 2017 season, the graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City has added 50 yards to his drives, averaged a squad-best 77 and has led the Pioneers (12-1) as a medalist in four consecutive outings. Portersville, PA – Portersville Christian School’s Fine Arts Committee announces that a modern English translation of Sophocles’ Antigone will be presented Thursday, November 9, Friday, November 10 and Saturday November 11, at 7 PM each night, at the school, 343 East Portersville Road/Rt. 488 East, Portersville PA 16051. BC3 Receives Third $1M Commitment in Past 38 Months

Butler, PA – Butler County Community College announced Friday a $1 million commitment from Janice Phillips Larrick, matching the two highest gifts in BC3’s 52-year history and representing the third such donation in the past 38 months. The commitment from Larrick, a former BC3 student, follows her $50,000 gift in March that also will benefit what BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer calls the school’s “hallmark” program – its highly competitive registered nursing program that accepts only 70 of its more than 200 annual applicants. “Mrs. Larrick,” Neupauer said, “is an incredibly special person.
