Yesterday, Senator Vogel and eleven other state senators representing Western PA penned a letter to the Governor urging his Administration to aggressively market this region as a location for Amazon’s proposed second headquarters facility. Police Reports: Flagger Assaulted on Fifth Street Bridge

Flagger Assaulted on Fifth Street Bridge According to the police report, on Sept. 11 a flagger was assaulted while working in the construction zone on the Fifth Street Bridge in the early afternoon. Officers were advised of an incident that was occurring at the south end of the bridge. A vehicle was parked, blocking the roadway with the driver and passenger side doors open, resulting in a heavy traffic build up and students unable to cross the road. Fombell History Day

Fombell History Day is this Sunday, September 17th 1pm-5pm and held at Lillyville Church of God located at 408 Hickernell Rd, Ellwood City, Pennsylvania 16117. The annual event brings people together to celebrate and share their history. Many find a relative in a photo or reminisce with a neighbor about their communities. People are encouraged to bring their pictures to share. Visitors can spend the afternoon looking at pictures of Fombell and surrounding areas and learn more about the local history.
