Borough Council Gives Commendation to Mayor Anthony Court

Ellwood City Borough Council gave Mayor Anthony Court a commendation during Monday’s Borough Council Meeting. The commendation, presented by Council President Brad Ovial was given in reignition of Court’s receipt of the “Community Service Award” by Vision Ministries for his dedication to the Ellwood City Community. During the Mayor’s Report, Court said that there have been 648 drug arrests since he has been in office. He said he has no plans of backing down. “We will continue down this path,” he said. Lincoln High School graduate Mitchell Covert fired a round of 83, finishing fourth, to help lead Butler County Community College victory over Jamestown (N.Y.) Community College at Lake Arthur Golf Club in BC3’s spring-season opener last Thursday. Riverside Lions Club Provides Community Support Updates

The Riverside Lions Club continues its community support through various programs and donations. The club offers a series of updates below spotlighting their recent efforts: The club started off the new segment by participating in a District Soup Assembly. Under the supervision of PDG’s Jeff and Maria Laudermilk (Riverside/Hopewell Lions) members from different clubs in the District met at the Butler Blind Association to assemble the equivalent of 9000 dry soup meals.
