For the seventh time, The Tamburitzans return to Ellwood City, premiering their newest show, Reflection!
This two hour live stage production features music, song and dance from cultures around the world. The event will be held at Lincoln High School at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17th.
Your favorite traditions return to stage, including Croatian, Serbian, Armenia, Bulgaria, Hungarian, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine along with dances from the Alpine region and the Jewish culture, and more along with all the enthralling instruments, entrancing costumes and intricate steps you’ve come to love from America’s Longest Running Live Stage Show.
27 Student Performers dance, sing and play their way across the countries of Eastern and Western Europe, entertaining young and old while helping to keep alive the heritages of our shared ancestors. This Family Friendly show is one of the most colorful and consuming acts you can experience, a tradition for 87 seasons. So whether this is your first show or your fiftieth, welcome to The Tamburitzans!
Each ticket you purchase not only helps build bridges between countries and culture, but furthers education and understanding. One of the most fascinating parts of the Tamburitzan Ensemble is that every performer is a full time college student. Studying everything from pharmacy, nursing, education and entrepreneurialism, these entertainers provide excellence on stage then only a few hours later, head off to excel in academics.
This ensemble brings together artists of all different backgrounds and disciplines who, through their years performing, become a family. These students head out into the world with the knowledge that through performance and art, we can share in the joy of our differences.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Ellwood City Rotary Club’s scholarship fund.
Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite. The Ellwood City Area Library will also be selling tickets on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 9th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost is $30.00 each for adult or $35.00 at the door on the day of the performance. Student tickets are $20.00.
