VIDEO: Man Opens Fire Inside Local Bar When Told To Leave

According to a publish report and video, a regular at a local bar who didn’t want to leave at closing time opened fire overnight Tuesday at a Weisz’s Hazel Manor in Ellwood City.  According to reports the patron refused to leave the establishment which led to a verbal confrontation with the bar owner. With five people inside, including the owner, Michael Allen Henry, Jr., 26, of 185 Kindale Street pulled a 9mm gun out and put it on the bar. Local Student Graduates From Mortuary Institute

Ms. Carmella Marie Teolis recently graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She is the daughter of Samuel A. and Michele Teolis, granddaughter of Samuel Teolis and Don and Toni Rutter. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2014, after which she attended the Butler County Community College for one year. After BC3, Carmella graduated from the Pittsburgh Technical College with high honors earning a degree in Applied Sciences and Office Administration along with becoming a certified Professional Medical Coder. Ellwood-Wampum Rod and Gun Club Results

The Ellwood-Wampum Rod and Gun Club in Wayne Township held a turkey shoot on Tuesday, September 4. The turkey shoot winners were Tom O’Brien, Paul H. Redmond, Larry Baker, and Aaron Kelly. Kelly was a double winner, and Jim Spielvogel won the door prize. Due to Tuesday turkey shoots, trap shoots have been moved to Thursdays. Local Church To Host A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

Members of North Sewickley Presbyterian Church will be serving up a spaghetti dinner as a fundraiser on Saturday September 22 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The menu is spaghetti and meatballs; garlic bread; salad with dressing; dessert, and drinks for adults and children. The cost for this meal is $8.00 for adults (13 & up), $4.00 for children (4 – 12) and children under 4 free. REMINDER: Ellwood City Announces “Door to Door Clean Up” Program

Ellwood City Council has approved Valley Waste Service to provide “Door to Door Clean Up” in 2018 for their residents. The total cost of this service, as previously quoted, is $37,950.00. The program will begin on Saturday, September 15, and will run for five consecutive Saturdays concluding on October 13. The “Clean Up Schedule” will be as follows: All Clean Up items must be placed where you normally place your yellow bags for regular trash pickup. Ellwood & Riverside Football Both Defeated Handedly On Road

Both Ellwood City and Riverside football teams took the road Friday night, but were both defeated handedly by their section foes.  Ellwood City fell victim to New Brighton 30-13 while Riverside was shutout by Freedom 43-0.
