Hopping Into Ellwood Area’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

This year will mark the Ellwood Area Egg hunt Committee’s 24th annual Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt will be on Saturday, April 13th with a starting time of 11:00 a.m. Any and all children 10 and under can participate in this event. The eggs will be hidden in Ewing Park this year.

On top of these hunts, there will be a special needs hunt this year as well.

The committee will be preparing for 700 children with 9,000 eggs being handed out. This event is free and all children who participate will get candy and toys, on top of the eggs they find. With the 9,000 colored eggs, there will be 30 golden eggs handed out.

Besides the hunt, there will be a petting zoo, a character appearance, and wagon rides along with more events that will be added.

The committee is also accepting donations of any size as well as new members. If you are interested in becoming a part of this committee or if you want more information, visit their Facebook Page. Donations can be mailed to, in care of member Kathy Brenner, Ellwood Area Egg hunt Committee,  212 Crescent Ave. Ellwood City, PA 16117.
