Ellwood City, PA – The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce their new Co-Executive Directors, Loralei Gallaher-Hink and Jillian Court. Loralei and Jillian will be working alongside each other as the Executive Director of Membership and the Executive Director of Media, respectively. The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities.  Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458. Ellwood City Defeats Moniteau, Riverside Falls to Shaler

Our two local high school boys basketball teams split their opening games in selective Holiday Tournaments on Thursday. Ellwood City defeated Moniteau in its opening game of a Mercer Tournament while Riverside was knocked off by Shaler Area in its opening game of a Seneca Valley holiday tournament.  Games resume today for each boys basketball team. Cioffi Awarded Commendation For Service To Community

On Monday, former borough manager Joe Cioffi was honored with a plaque as a commendation for his 60 years of service to the community by Mayor Anthony Court. Cioffi, 81, had been serving as a temporary interim manager while the borough looked to find applicants after it was decided by council not to renew the former manager’s, Robert Villella earlier this year.
