Retired Brighton Township Police Officer Charged With Possession Of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against a Beaver County man — who retired as a police officer in 2023 — regarding possession of child sexual abuse material. The Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section charged 68-year-old Peter J. Benedict Jr. on Wednesday with 11 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication facility regarding materials found at Benedict’s home during a search earlier this week. Central Valley downed Laurel, 11-4, to win the 74th Ellwood City Little League Tournament on Monday night at Freidhoff Field. WKBN-TV in Youngstown, Ohio televised the game-their first broadcast ever of a Little League game in Pennsylvania. Neshannock downed Ellwood City 11-5 in the 74th Ellwood City Little League Tournament on Thursday night. Dante Medure led Neshannock with a double, two singles and four RBI.
