Ellwood City Little Wolverines Football 2021 Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open for the Ellwood City Little Wolverines Football 2021 season. Registration cost is $125.00, plus a refundable $75 equipment deposit. This equipment deposit will be refunded upon the return of all issued equipment in good condition. (ECLWF does offer discounts on siblings registering, and the equipment deposit is per family.) First player is $125, sibling is $105, and third sibling is $85. The $75 equipment deposit may be paid at registration, but is not required for initial registration. Tradition, community support, and a love of his hometown were all on Joe Fotia’s list of reasons to open Fotia Physical Therapy in Ellwood City. “I wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps of owning a business in Ellwood City,” he said. “Also, no matter where I have worked, I’ve always had support from the people of Ellwood City.” Fotia grew up in Ellwood City and graduated from Lincoln High School (class of ‘87). Two LHS Students Recognized For LCCTC Pride & Promise Award

Two Lincoln High School students were among four dedicated senior Cosmetology students who received the Lawrence County Career & Technical Center (LCCTC) March 2021 Pride & Promise Award Each student was recognized at the JOC Board meeting last week for achieving 1,250 hours during their three years of study at LCCTC. Earning this milestone accomplishment, the students are now able to get a temporary license and take the PA State Board examination to be newly licensed hair stylists in PA. Wolverines To Host Brookville In PIAA Quarterfinals

The Ellwood City boys basketball team, fresh off their first ever WPIAL Championship, will now turn their focus to the PIAA Playoffs that begin this weekend. In a public meeting nocie announcement, the Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 8, 2021 starting at 6:00 p.m. The combined Committee and Regular Board meeting will follow as previously scheduled. Attention Lincoln and Riverside High School Seniors: The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. In hand deadline is Thursday April 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors. Graduating seniors from Lincoln High School and Riverside High School who have been accepted to attend a college, Trade School or Performing Arts are eligible. Petrak Shines As Ohio State University Swimming Repeats As Big Ten Champs

Former Lincoln High School graduate Taylor Petrak helped propel the Ohio State Buckeyes to a successful repeat of its Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championship crown last month. Petrak, a Ohio State University senior, is now one of 12 Buckeye women’s swimmers that have descended upon the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C., to compete at the 2021 NCAA Championships this weekend. The Riverside swimming team will compete the in the PIAA Swimming Championships Friday afternoon at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
