Former Ellwood City Resident Pleads Guilty to Charges Related to the Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

A former resident of Ellwood City pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor, United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced on November 7th. Shayne Clapper, 30, pleaded guilty to five counts before United States District Judge William S. Stickman. In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that in January 2023 through February 2023, Clapper initiated a sexual relationship with a minor known to him. Clapper provided the minor with a cell phone that he used to communicate with the minor. Clapper requested and received nude images from the minor….

Elijah Palmer-McCane tallied 150 yards of total offense and accounted for both Ellwood City scores Friday night as the Wolverines survived a scare from #6 South Allegheny and escaped with a 13-12 quarterfinals victory in the WPIAL Class 2A playoffs. Ellwood City advances to the WPIAL semifinals for the first time since 1987. Ellwood City Subject To 30-Day Open Outdoor Burning Ban

As part of the monthly meeting of the Lawrence County Commissioners that took place Thursday morning, the board discussed and adopted a Countywide Burn Ban. The ban does include Ellwood City and our surrounding areas. According to the Ellwood City Fire Department, and for the safety and welfare of the people of Lawrence County, the Lawrence County Commissioners placed an OPEN OUTDOOR BURNING BAN for all of Lawrence County. PHOTOS: Ellwood City Art Club Paints Windows On Lawrence Avenue

Members of the Ellwood City Art Club took to the sidewalks of Lawrence Avenue this week and gave some colorful splashes of paint to merchant windows. Students painted many business windows with some blue and white, and some green and white, to show spirit for the high school football playoffs. New Castle, PA – A 27-year-old full-time emergency medical technician, foster and stepmother and nondirected organ donor has long wanted to resume pursuit of a college degree. That pursuit was brought to a halt in 2017, when Danyelle Kirby was no longer able to afford the costly regional private university she attended for two semesters. Stonecrest Business Park Among Projects To Benefit From $9.65M In State Grant Funding

Stonecrest Business Park, L.P. is among eleven projects Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence Counties that will benefit from over $9 Million in state grants. $500,000 will go toward the construction of a new industrial building at Stonecrest Business Park, aimed at attracting industrial investment and fostering job creation in the region.
