With the approaching winter storm, the Borough of Ellwood City would like to reach out to all residents and provide some safety information. This is going to be a prolonged storm with snow starting to fall Saturday night and the heaviest amount of snow falling between 7am and 7pm on Sunday. Kaleb Servick and Aaron Lake combined for 46 points as Ellwood City easily dismissed New Brighton 81-50 on Friday night to clinch a WPIAL Class 3A playoff berth Servick poured in 18 first half points as the Wolverines held a 44-20 advantage at halftime. The Ellwood City boys basketball team used a well rounded scoring attack to knock off rival Riverside 52-40 on Tuesday at Lincoln High School. Three Wolverines reached double digits led by junior guard Kaleb Servick who scored a game-high 17 points.  Tyler Smiley finished with 11 points (two 3-pointers, four assists, five steals) and Aaron Lake scored 10 points in the victory. Ellport Borough Awarded Funds For Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

HARRISBURG – Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) today announced more than $5.6 million in state grant funding to support roadway and sewer infrastructure projects in Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties, which was administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA). Ellwood City Borough Council to Advertise for New Borough Manager

Ellwood City Borough Council voted during Tuesday evening’s regular meeting to advertise for employment of a new borough manager. The move comes after Council voted 4-3 on January 5, during a reorganizational meeting, to not renew the contract for Kevin Swogger. Councilwoman Jan Williams was joined by Councilmen Caleb Cragle, Brad Ovial, and Joseph Mancini in voting to not renew. Swogger joined the borough as manager in 2023.
