Rotary Club of Ellwood City Delivers Water to East Palestine

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City delivered three pallets of bottled water on Friday to East Palestine, Ohio. The club is now sponsoring a community-wide initiative in conjunction with Tomon Funeral Home and Trinity Lutheran Church to collect other items the residents need. Items needed include bottled water, paper towels, white vinegar, bleach-free cleaning products, Dawn dish soap, laundry detergent, rolls of quarters, personal care items, dog and cat food. A Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous chemicals caught fire and derailed February 3rd, forcing evacuations near East Palestine in Columbiana County, a town of 4,700 residents that borders Pennsylvania. The Ellwood City Wolves Den II met at the Connequenessing Country Club on Wednesday February 8, 2023. The members welcomed new member Rich Griffith. The members voted to keep the current Board of Directors, consisting of nine members, for another three years. The club conducts three fundraisers that support their scholarship fund during the year. According to information made available by the district this week, the Ellwood City Area School Board of Directors has scheduled a Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting on Thursday, March 9 2023. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. followed by an already scheduled Regular Meeting of the Board at 7:00 p.m. The meetings will be held in the Board Room located in Lincoln Jr/Sr High School. Annual Ellwood City Easter Egg Hunt Returns, Under New Guidance

The Ellwood Area Egg Hunt Committee is announcing their retirement. With their 27th Annual, and final, Community Easter Egghunt completed last year, the committee has retired and has turned the event over to new guidance. The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce will now be hosting the community Easter Egg Hunt event. This year’s event will take place Saturday, April 8th as their 1st Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. Bernstine Announces Safe Schools Grant for Area School Districts

HARRISBURG – Rep.
