Linda Lou Matheny, 76, of Fombell, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Born in Ellwood City on December 21, 1946, Linda was the daughter of the late Leroy and Frances Steffler Smith.  She had worked for over 30 years at Adams Manufacturing in the shipping department. Linda is survived by her two children, William J. (Karen) Matheny and Elizabeth A. Matheny both of Fombell, two grandchildren, Billie Matheny and Jacob Matheny and a sister, Nellie (Eleanor) Shaffer of Fombell. Kurt S. Pohto, 61, of Center Township, Butler County, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 8, 2023 Born in Cleveland, OH on September 11, 1961, Kurt  was the son of Linda Simon Pohto of Ellwood City and the late Carl S. Pohto.  Kurt had worked as a pipefitter. Besides his mother, Kurt is survived by a sister, Jacqui Bowman of Ellport and two brothers, Christopher Pohto of Amherst, NY and Carl Pohto of Mogadore, OH. Born in Ellwood City on August 21, 1933, Ray was the son of the late Conrad A. and Mildred V. Kline Dombeck. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lorena Lehman. Born on April 6, 1958 in Rochester, Bruce was the son of the late George and Mary Ann Kessler Patrick.  He retired from Norfolk Southern in 2013 as an Electrician.  Bruce was a member of Divine Grace Parish and its Holy Name Society and the New Brighton Masonic Lodge.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and leatherworking. Joan Leo, 60, of Ellport, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 in her residence following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on November 18, 1962 in Mt. Lebanon, Joan was the daughter of the late Jim and Rosalie Vaglia Wold.  She retired from Andritz Herr-Voss Stamco as an accounting supervisor after 28 years.  Joan was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  She enjoyed camping, dancing and walking.  She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren. Susan Elizabeth Pratt, 66, passed away peacefully at UPMC Jameson Hospital on June 1, 2023, after a six-year battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late Dominick and Elizabeth Pratt.  Susan graduated from Lincoln Jr.-Sr. High School in Ellwood City in 1974. She continued her education at Beaver County Community College, graduating in 1980 with an associate degree in medical laboratory technology.
