Born in New Castle on October 21, 1959, Larry was the son of the late Nelson and Betty Plunkard McAllister.  He was preceded in death by is wife, Tamara Turner McAllister.  Larry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1977 through 2006.  Larry obtained the rank of Staff Sargent. Charles H. Denniston, 77, of Prospect, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at AHN West Penn Hospital. Born in Portersville on April 8, 1948, Charles was the son of the late Howard and Mary Johnson Denniston. He attended the Laurel School District and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Charles retired from the Ellwood City Forge after more than twenty-five years of dedicated service to the company. He enjoyed both fishing and hunting. Karl E. Meeker, age 82, of Ellwood City, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13th. Karl was born March 26, 1943 in Greeley, CO to the late Andrew Franklin and Blanche (Bailey) Meeker. He loved and missed the Rocky Mountains and time spent with family there. An Ellwood City native, Betty Lee MacDonald, 92, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born August 10, 1932, to the late Norman Harold and Nellie L. (Newton) Boots. She married Gene L. MacDonald on July 14, 1951. They were married 65 years until his death in 2017. Betty and Gene moved to Zanesville in 1966. She first worked as a teacher’s aide, then moved onto her career in Real Estate. Lettie J. Ross, 93 of Ellwood City passed away at Avalon Care Center in New Castle on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Ellwood City on April 2, 1932, Lettie was the daughter of the late Charles and Susie Frances Volpe Damato.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Doreen A. Tomon, 99, of Ellwood City passed away at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Harmony on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Chelsea, London, England on September 14, 1925, Doreen was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Kathleen Mahr Hewitson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. Born in Ellwood City on January 4, 1943, Ed was the son of the late Herbert and Susie Dillon Donley, Sr. He married the former Charlene Morris on November 10, 1962. Ed retired from B&W in 1986 where he worked as a millwright and welder. A Veteran of the US Navy, Ed was Protestant by faith. Born in Ellwood City on May 22, 1952, Carrie was the daughter of the late Wallace and Sophie Krestel Eppihimer.  She is survived by her husband, David A. Mary Anne Caputo (Corrigan), 82, of North Sewickley, PA passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford on Saturday, May 31, 2025 after an extended illness. She was born in Ellwood City, Pa. on October 22, 1942; the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (“Lena”) Corrigan.
