Charles H. Denniston, 77, of Prospect, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at AHN West Penn Hospital. Born in Portersville on April 8, 1948, Charles was the son of the late Howard and Mary Johnson Denniston. He attended the Laurel School District and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Charles retired from the Ellwood City Forge after more than twenty-five years of dedicated service to the company. He enjoyed both fishing and hunting. Karl E. Meeker, age 82, of Ellwood City, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 13th. Karl was born March 26, 1943 in Greeley, CO to the late Andrew Franklin and Blanche (Bailey) Meeker. He loved and missed the Rocky Mountains and time spent with family there. An Ellwood City native, Betty Lee MacDonald, 92, of Zanesville, Ohio, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born August 10, 1932, to the late Norman Harold and Nellie L. (Newton) Boots. She married Gene L. MacDonald on July 14, 1951. They were married 65 years until his death in 2017. Betty and Gene moved to Zanesville in 1966. She first worked as a teacher’s aide, then moved onto her career in Real Estate.
