Cheryl A. (Burcik) Thomas, 69, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  Cheryl was a graduate of Riverside High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dolores Burcik. Cheryl’s love of nursing over 45 years took her to Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Tampa, and back to Ellwood City, where she ended her career as a home health nurse. Debra Sue Gordon, 67, of Ellwood City, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at her residence. Born in Ellwood City on March 13, 1957, Debra was the daughter of the late Donald and Phyllis Main Gordon.  Debra was a member of Park Gate Baptist Church.  She enjoyed attending church, shopping and attending family events. Debra is survived by her brother, Terry Gordon of New Castle, her sister-in-law, Brenda Gordon and her special friend, Ed Sutkowski. Jerry D. McCaughtry, Sr., 83, of Ellport, passed away in his residence on Monday, May 20, 2024. Born in Beaver Falls on August 28, 1940, Jerry was the son of the late Albert McCaughtry and the former Phyllis Thompson.  He married Joylee MacDonald in 1987 and enjoyed thirty-six years together until she preceded him in death on July 18, 2023.  Jerry retired from B&W and drove both school buses for Ellwood City Transit and tour buses for Zona Tours.  He loved driving the kids every day.  Jerry loved traveling across the country, showing college students and foreign exchange students the…

Myron Dellinger, 72, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside. Born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on July 19, 1951, Myron was the son of the late Bernice J. Dellinger and Dorothy L. Born in New Castle on May 12, 1948, Dianne was the daughter of the late Clifford Deemer and Barbara Sheehy Gumminey. Edward Herman Berendt, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at home peacefully surrounded by his wife and children. Ed was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania on May 6,1945 to the late Margaret Miller Berendt and William M. Berendt, Sr.  He worked at multiple steel mills in the area and finished his career at the Ellwood City Forge.
