Cindy L. Stabryla, 61, of Chewton, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the emergency room at UPMC Jameson. Born on December 14, 1958 in Ellwood City, Cindy was the daughter of Doris Wallace Woloszyn of Chewton and the late Andrew Woloszyn.  She married Dennis Stabryla on July 11, 1977 and they celebrated 42 years of marriage.  A 1976 graduate of Lincoln High School, Cindy enjoyed going to the beach and being by the water.  She was a huge Guns N’ Roses fan, arguably their biggest.  But most of all, Cindy absolutely loved her two grandchildren, Sebastian and Genevieve….

Elizabeth “Betty” Moskal, 94, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Kobacker House in Columbus, OH. Born in Chewton on May 7, 1925, Betty was the daughter of the late Justyn and Mary Burik Bozlinski.  Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond V. Joseph H. Youngblood, 90, of Ellport, passed away in the ER of UPMC Jameson Hospital on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Born in Jackson Township, Butler County on September 11, 1929, Joe was the son of the late Peter Leo and Ida Elizabeth Miller Youngblood.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy Rutter, who passed away on October 20, 1993.  They were married on November 21, 1952.  Joe liked to inform his friends that with over 50 years of service he was the oldest Lawrence Co. Kenneth C. Weir, 82, of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the H.J. Heinz VA Medical Center in Aspinwall. Ivia Freed, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born in Ellwood City on October 13, 1944, Ivia was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Allison Lutz.  She retired from Patty’s Cleaning Service where she worked for many years.  Ivia was an amazing person with a heart of gold.  She loved her family with all her heart and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Merritt Joseph Matheny, 76 formerly of Ellwood City passed away at the Grove in Harmony on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12:55 AM. Born in Wayne Township on August 1, 1943, Merritt was the son of the late Donald and Catherine O’Donnell Matheny.  He worked most of his life in the oil fields of Texas as a roustabout and driller.
