Evelyn V. Lauten, 87

Evelyn V. Lauten, 87 of Fombell passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Shenango on the Green in New Wilmington. Born in McKeesport, PA on October 6, 1933, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Martha Harrison Dawson.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Lauten on September 28, 2020.  They were married on March 23, 1956.  Evelyn along with her husband owned and operated Lauten’s Dairy Farm in Fombell.  She also worked for the Postal Service. Clifford “Cliff” Herron, 74

Clifford L. “Cliff” Herron, 74, of North Sewickley Township, passed away unexpectedly at Heritage Valley Beaver on Monday, March 1, 2021. Born in New Brighton on October 5, 1946, Cliff was the son of the late Clifford W. and Margaret Bonomo Herron.  He married the former Joyce Thompson on October 21, 1967.  Cliff was a 1964 graduate of Riverside High School and Slippery Rock University.  He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 420 and retired from Ceraini Construction.  Cliff was also a member of Concord United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling out west and camping…

Robert A. “Bobby J” Jeffries, 56, of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born on January 13, 1965 in Beaver Falls, Robert was the son of the late Richard and June Emes Jeffries.  A 1984 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Robert was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years for Kerry Coal in Wampum and most recently as a crane operator at IPSCO in Koppel. William “Lucky” Loccisano, 74

William “Lucky” Loccisano, 74, of Ellwood City, passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born in Ellwood City on January 9, 1947, Lucky was the son of the late James Loccisano and Stella Cartacio Loccisano.  A graduate of Lincoln High School, Lucky formerly owned Tri-State Webs.  He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of both the Hungarian Club and the Sons of Italy.  Lucky coached football for many years, including the Ellwood City Packers, Ellwood City Little Wolverines, Lincoln High School and Grove City High School.  He also coached baseball for many years…

Scott E. Hays, 27, of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born in Brighton Township on March 2, 1993, Scott was the son of Michelle Johnston Houk of Ellwood City and the late Paul (Scooter) Hays.  Also surviving is his wife, the former Chelsea Oslick, whom he married on February 9, 2019.  Scott had worked as an assistant manager at L.L. Erwin M. Tondt, 78

Erwin M. Tondt, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at UPMC McCandless. Born in Poland on August 29, 1942, Erwin was the son of the late Otto and Berta Pekrul Tondt.  After Otto passed away unexpectedly, Erwin was raised by his step-father, Fred Class.  Erwin retired from INMETCO where he worked as a supervisor.  He married the former Norma Follett on August 26, 2006 and they both enjoyed playing pool when they were able.  He was also a member of the Hungarian Home. Mary E. Wolfe, 92, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Avalon Place in West Pittsburg. Roxanne Hoffman, 64, of Ellport, passed away on January 29, 2021, at the Grove in New Wilmington after a brief battle with cancer.
