Scott Hays, 27

Scott E. Hays, 27, of Ellwood City passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Born in Brighton Township on March 2, 1993, Scott was the son of Michelle Johnston Houk of Ellwood City and the late Paul (Scooter) Hays.  Also surviving is his wife, the former Chelsea Oslick, whom he married on February 9, 2019.  Scott had worked as an assistant manager at L.L. Flooring in Cranberry Township.  Scott enjoyed bikes, fast cars and Jeeps and spending time with his sidekicks (dogs), Landon Michael, Briea, Yama and Chunk.

Besides his wife Chelsea and mother, Michelle (Rodney) Houk he is survived by his sisters, Tiffany (Joshua) Hill of Ellwood City, Kayla Houk of Ellwood City, Laura Babyok of Butler, his brothers, Michael, Nick and McKenzie Coffman all of Patterson Township, his maternal grandmother, Mildred Johnston of New Brighton, his paternal grandparents, Leroy and Joanne Houk of Ellwood City, a nephew, Jacob Hill and nieces, Farah Wischerman and Cassandra Steen and his best friend, Dan Carofino of Ellwood City.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Brittany Leigh Johnston, a brother, Scott Babyok and his maternal grandfather, Edwin Johnston.

Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Friends may also call on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with his uncle, Pastor Dan Hays of Prayer Mountain Ministries.
