Dennis J. Tammaro, 68, of Cortland passed away Saturday evening, September 25, 2021. Dennis was born on October 16, 1952 in Ellwood City, PA, a son of Joseph and Angie (Scioti) Tammaro. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City in 1970 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s in education from Youngstown State University. Dennis had an extensive teaching career as an elementary school educator. During the summer months, Dennis also worked as a painter. Sandra Kay Engleman, 79 of Ellport died unexpectedly after a brief illness on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Sandy was born in Beaver Falls and resided in the Koppel, Wampum and Ellwood City areas her entire life.  Working for Ellwood Transit, Sandy was a devoted and loving bus driver, transporting over 3 generations of children to the Ellwood City Schools and was loved by all.  She was also an accomplished florist, creating beautiful floral designs for family members and many weddings. Teresa Damato, 85, of Ellwood City, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Quality Life Services New Castle. Born in Ellwood City on April 11, 1936 she was the daughter of the late David and Lena Luongo Ioanilli.  Teresa married Nicholas Damato on June 27, 1959 and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1998.  She retired from Romar Textiles where she worked as a textile racker.  A member of Holy Redeemer Church and its Christian Mothers, Teresa enjoyed baking, playing cards and doing puzzles.  Her family enjoyed her Macaroni Sundays.  Most of all, Teresa loved spending time…

Kenneth M. “Skip” Brenner, Jr., 77, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at UPMC Jameson. David F. “Mitzi” Moritza, 65, passed away at Quality Life Services New Castle on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Born in Ellwood City on November 3, 1955, Mitzi was the son of the late David and Rose Genivia Moritza.  A 1973 graduate of Lincoln High School, he participated in the school’s initial wrestling program.  He also participated in many local arm-wrestling contests.  Mitzi retired as a custodian from the Seneca Valley School District.  A lifelong fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, he also loved the Baltimore Colts and Boston Celtics.  Mitzi played church league softball…

Glenn Taylor Koach, 97, passed away peacefully of old age on August 18th 2021. Glenn, the son of Roy W. and Edna Taylor Koach, was a lifelong resident of the Ellwood City area, being born and raised in Wurtemburg, Pennsylvania. Geraldine L. Burns, 89, formerly of Ellwood City, Beaver and Mesa, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.
