Francis was born on March 2, 1927 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph C. and Frances Fox Piper. He had attended Lincoln High School before joining the U.S. Navy on Jan. 11, 1945. He served with the 28th and 125th NCB until his discharge on June 17, 1946. Andrew J. Aniceti, Sr., 92, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 in the Wexford House. Andy was born on June 9, 1923 in New Castle to the late Giovanni and Camille Peltier Aniceti. At the age of 13, Andy joined the Civilian Conservation Corps, a New Deal program that allowed teenagers to work on public related projects.
