Robert M. “Bob” Hozick, 54, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 in his residence. Bob was born on Nov. 28, 1960 in New Castle to the late Robert J. Hozick and Helen Louise Rychlicki Hozick of Chewton. Bob is a member of the Shenango High School class of 1978, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. He had worked for the Ellwood City Forge for many years , and then with North American Forge Masters in New Castle for several years as a forging supervisor. Evelyn Loretta Manzetti, 94, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 at the Passavant Retirement Community. Evelyn was born on Jan. 20, 1921 in Koppel to the late Angelo and Genevive Ferino Docchio. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parrish. She had worked at the Armstrong Cork in Beaver Falls, Gaylords Paper Mill in Beaver Falls and from the age 59 to 73 she was the owner and operator of Manzetti’s Candies and Pastries in Beaver Falls. Jerome J. “Jerry” Cowan, 81, of Slippery Rock Twp. passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 in the Carriage Court assisted living facility. Mr. Cowan was born on April 20, 1934 in Ellwood City to the late Wilbert and Fay G. Gallaher Cowan. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1952, where he had played football and baseball. Joseph B. Bellissimo, Sr., 89, of Hershey, Pa., formerly of Ellwood City and Pittsburgh, died on Sept. 25, 2015. Born July 17, 1926 in Derry, Pa., he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Antoinette Cosentino Bellissimo. Mr. Bellissimo graduated in 1944 from Lincoln High School, Ellwood City and attended music schools in Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and Julliard Conservatory of Music in New York City. He was a member of the French horn section of the West point Army Orchestra. He played as a member of the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra and principle French horn with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra….

Joseph M. DiFrischia, 80, of Chippewa Twp. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. DiFrischia was born on July 28, 1935 in Fombell to the late Dominic and Margaret Williams DiFrischia. Joe had served with the U.S. Army from Nov. 27, 1953 until his discharge on Nov. 9, 1956.
