Mrs. Louise Tanner, 63, of Ellport passed away on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024 at the AHN Wexford Hospital following a brief illness. Louise was born in Ellwood City on December 16th, 1960 the daughter of the late Charles F. and Rose Marie (Lukavics) Wolfe, Sr.. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1978 and graduated from Indiana University in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Ralph L. Lutz, 75, of Park Gate passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 surrounded by his girls at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Lutz was born on January 27th, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late Norman L. and Margaret L. (Coast) Lutz. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1966 and Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Thomas Matthew Pazsint, 71, of Wampum, passed away on July 7th, 2024 following an extended illness. He was born on September 14th, 1952 to the late Alice and Alexander Pazsint. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1971, attended YSU, lived worked and gardened with a heart that never darkened to others. He will be sadly missed. Lynn Marie Johnson-Carothers, 57, of Ellwood City, passed away on June 8th 2024 at her residence. Lynn was born on April 6th, 1967 in Brockton, Massachusetts to the late Carl O. “Mo” and Margaret E. “Peg” (Dearth) Johnson. She graduated from Brockton Highschool and later relocated to Ellwood City, PA. Mr. Nathan R. Prestopine, 93, of Ellport, passed away on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at his residence. Nathan was born on May 4th, 1931 to the late Michael J. and Gilda E. (Docchio) Prestopine. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean War Era. Nathan worked at U.S. Steel, both in Ellwood City and Ambridge, until it’s closing. Melvin “Mel” Straley, 88, of Wampum PA passed away at Heritage Valley Medical Center on Friday, June 21st, 2024. Mel was born, raised and lived in Wampum PA. He was born on November 28th, 1935 to the late Robert Ellis and Josephine Straley and was one of 11 children. Jeanne Sokol, 81, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at her residence. Jeanne was the daughter of the late Eugene and Anna (Gib) Cavallaro born in Ellwood City on May 25th, 1943.
