Vogel Announces $2.48 Million in PHARE Funding Benefiting Beaver, Butler and Lawrence Counties

HARRISBURG – Sen. On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Divine Grace Parish’s Holy Name Society gathered for the annual Altar Server Appreciation Tribute at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Rotary Club of Ellwood City Announces Annual Scholarship Recipients

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City held its scholarship dinner on May 15th. Seniors from Ellwood City and Riverside and their families celebrated with the Rotarians. This year, the Club awarded 6 educational scholarship- totaling $6000.00 In the past, the scholarships were directed at 4-year and 2- year academics. Recognizing a change in student career choices, the Rotary Scholarship Committee added an additional Scholarship to support those who are going into the Trades. Woman’s Club of Ellwood City Raffle to Restore Gazebo and Landscaping

The Municipal Woman’s Club of Ellwood City is raising funds to make repairs and updates to the gazebo. The club is currently selling raffle tickets to support much-needed repairs to the gazebo and to replace the surrounding landscaping. The Woman’s Club has maintained the gazebo since 1989, preserving it for over three decades. Each raffle ticket is $10 and gives you a chance to win a $1,000 cash prize. The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 11 hosted their annual Scholarship Awards dinner on Wednesday May 28, at 6PM, at the Connequenessing Country Club. The club awards eight scholarships to eight students from the Ellwood City and Riverside School districts. Invocation was offered by Reverend Todd Custer of Christ Presbyterian Church. Ten Riverside or Lincoln high school students participated in Butler County Community College’s Riv-Ell Entrepreneurship program in 2024-2025. They earned 16 transferrable college credits and BC3’s workplace certificate in entrepreneurship upon completing the program that required a capstone-project business plan. Students presented business plans May 5 in Lincoln’s library.
