Vogel: Senate-Led Spending Plan Focuses on Immediate Critical Service Funding

HARRISBURG – The Senate advanced a responsible spending plan aimed at providing immediate funding support to counties, school districts, social service providers and other services in need of critical resources, according to Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47). While the 2025-26 state budget negotiations continue, Senate Bill 160 would provide funding at the levels included in the final 2024-25 state budget. Central Valley Wins 74th Ellwood City Little League Tournament; EC Finishes 3rd

Central Valley downed Laurel, 11-4, to win the 74th Ellwood City Little League Tournament on Monday night at Freidhoff Field. WKBN-TV in Youngstown, Ohio televised the game-their first broadcast ever of a Little League game in Pennsylvania. Before the game, Richie Allen, who will be inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, was acknowleged by the Ellwood City Amateur Baseball Federation. Neshannock downs Ellwood City 11-5 In 74th Little League Tournament

Neshannock downed Ellwood City 11-5 in the 74th Ellwood City Little League Tournament on Thursday night. Dante Medure led Neshannock with a double, two singles and four RBI. Joey Vitale smacked a three-run home run, a single with four RBI. Nathan Martin led Ellwood City with two singles and  a walk. Jace Vandevort rapped two singles and Giovanni Lamenza added a double. The Lincoln Class of 1954 First Luncheon 71st Reunion was held on Saturday, July 5th at Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub. Arrivals were greeted by chairmen Ilene Gardner and Pudue LaCava and received name tags from Judy Portugallo. Guests were seated at tables decorated in red, white and blue and place settings were marked with bags of goodies provided by Gardner. Festivities began with a welcome from Gardner acknowledging Chairman John Tino’s organizing and efforts and was unable to attend due to conflicts in schedules.
