Ellwood City Oktoberfest Tickets Now On Sale

The Ellwood City Oktoberfest Tickets are now on sale. Oktoberfest, a partnership of community organizations, is in its 13th year and will take place on Saturday, October 7th in Ewing Park. The Wolves Club, Rotary Club of Ellwood City and the Ellwood City Lions fundraiser highlights craft brewers, sampling of a variety of craft beers, raffles, auctions and games. Net proceeds of the event go to support the clubs’ programs and projects for the Ellwood City Area community. Father James Wehner, pastor of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City, installed seven Holy Name Society (HNS) officers to a two-year term at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on September 10th. The officers installed included: Frank Aloi (President), Hank Glogowski (1st Vice President), Dave Manzo (2nd Vice President), Guy Calabro (3rd Vice President), Charles Santilo (Secretary), Lou Ferrario (Treasurer), Bob Crawford (Immediate past President). Local Baseball History Highlighted At Historical Society Dinner

Dick Freidhoff passed away in 1985. The local steelworker never coached high school baseball, yet his influence on the game helped Riverside High School win the State Championship in 2023. Illustrious Riverside head baseball coach, Dan Oliastro credited Freidhoff with instilling in him a love for the game and a winning ethic when he played for him as a member of the Moose Club-sponsored little league team in the 1950s. “We practiced every day. Community Grand Opening Sept. 20 For BC3 State-of-the-Art Health Care building

Butler, PA – Jason Adamson and Luke Veon measured each other’s leg lengths and arm heights  near parallel bars, treatment tables and a hospital bed rigged with a patient lift. Outside that laboratory, Victoria Clawson, Allison Coleman and Molly Grossman learned to navigate wheelchairs through a long hallway. PennDOT Recruitment Event Thursday for Winter Maintenance Program in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is inviting the public to attend a recruitment event on Thursday, September 14 to learn about winter maintenance position opportunities the department offers in Lawrence County. The recruitment event will be held at PennDOT’s New Castle Maintenance Building located at 1800 New Wilmington Avenue, New Castle, PA 16105 from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 14. Recruiters will be available to discuss current and future openings within the Commonwealth. Vogel: PA Senate Passed Critical Budget Implementations – But Now It’s Time To Get It To the Finish Line

When the members of the Lincoln High School Class of 1968 received their diplomas, The Jackson 5’s, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Aretha Franklin were at the top of the music charts.
