BC3 To Begin Spring Semester With Remote, Online Formats for 3 Weeks

(Butler, PA) All Butler County Community College credit courses opening the spring 2021 semester will be delivered by remote or online instruction through Feb. 8 as a precaution with regard to possible changing transmission levels of COVID-19 during the traditional flu season. BC3’s 15-week Session 1 begins Jan. 19. After three weeks, Session 1 courses will transition to their scheduled format. Riverside Staff Member Tests Positive For COVID-19

Ellwood City Man Facing Child Sex Charges

The New Castle City Police Department has filed criminal charges against three individuals after an investigation into the dissemination of photographs of children. In September, the NCPD was contacted through CHILDLINE in reference to possible photographs being disseminated of two juvenile females (between ages of 11 &13). Detectives learned through the investigation that the mother of the juveniles did take numerous nude pictures and send them to a male in Ellwood City identified as David BATES (60). Heritage Valley Offering Drive-Thru Flu Shots At Former EC Hospital

To better serve the community during the COVID-19 outbreak, Heritage Valley Health System is offering scheduled drive-through flu shots at several area locations, including the former Ellwood City Hospital. Drive-through flu shots will only be available for patients who have a scheduled flu shot appointment through the Heritage Valley website, HVHS App or the Flu Shot Scheduling Line at 724.773.4285. Governor Wolf to Reinstate Crowd Gathering Restrictions

Thursday afternoon the PIAA received information that the Third Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay of Judge Stickman’s decision striking the Governor’s COVID-19 restrictions in several areas. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted a request from Gov. Tom Wolf to reinstate crowd gathering restrictions designed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. WUMC Offering “Soup Quarts-to-Go”

The monthly Soup Suppers at Wurtemburg United Methodist Church have been modified to ensure the safety of our Customers and Volunteers. Starting Saturday, October 10th, soup will be sold in quart jars; using the Drive-Thru method.
