Gun Show To Take Place In February

The Castlewood Rod and Gun Club is sponsoring a Gun Show this year on February 26th and 27th. The two day even will take place at the Wurtemburg Perry Fire Hall in Ellwood City. The public is invited to this event where you will be able to buy, sell and trade firearms and accessories for trade, sale and exhibit. Historical Society Updates From First Meeting Of 2022

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society held their first general meeting for the year 2022 on Monday January 10th. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag led by Guy Prestia, a World War II veteran. The first order of business was the installation of officers elected in November, led by past president Al Kocher. The new officers, Everett Bleakney, President; Andy Kindle, 1st Vice President; Bob Morabito, 2nd Vice President; Lois Liebendorfer, Secretary; and Charles as Treasurer. PennDOT Promotes Safe Driving During Winter Driving Awareness Week

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is highlighting safe driving tips in conjunction with Winter Driving Awareness Week, which runs through January 15. As the region recently experienced its first snowfall, drivers should prepare their vehicles for the winter by checking fluid levels, lights, defrosters and windshield wiper blades, in addition to ensuring proper tire air pressure and adequate tread depth. Wilmington Greyhounds Defeat Trinity On Senior Night

The Wilmington hockey team defeated Trinity at Hess Ice Rink on Senior Night by a score of 7-6. The seniors class honored prior to the game were Ayden Leslie (Mohawk), Bo Leslie (Mohawk), Cody Williams (Ellwood), Dom Serafino (Wilmington), Drake Tomak (Ellwood), Josh Work (New Castle), Logan Popovich (Wilmington), and Tyler Girman (New Castle). Pennsylvania Farm Show To Be In Person This Year

Lane Restrictions On Route 65 Put In Place

PennDOT District 11 is announced lane restrictions on Route 65 in North Sewickley and Franklin townships, Beaver County, that began on Monday, January 3rd. Single-lane alternating traffic controlled by flaggers will occur on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through late January on Route 65 at the County Club Bridge. Additionally, lane restrictions will occur on Mercer Road (Route 1006) and Country Club Road. Crews from KCI Technologies, Inc. will conduct drilling to locate subsurface utilities.
