PennDOT Invites Pennsylvanians to Share Feedback on Winter Services

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking the public’s feedback on winter services through an online survey. “Winter operations are among our core services and our team takes pride in their mission,” said PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian. “Through this survey, the public can help us measure expectations and identify education opportunities.” The survey is available through April 29 and should take about five minutes to complete. Jeffrey Bales To Speak at EC Historical Society

Jeffrey“Jeff” Bales will be the guest speaker at the upcoming Ellwood City Area Historical Society meeting on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. Jeff Bales Jr., a native of New Castle, currently lives near Culpeper, Virginia. While growing up, Bales and his family lived in such places as Scotland, Morocco and Guam. He attended nine different schools on four continents, including the former Wampum Public School and Koppel Elementary, where he finished third grade. EC Fire Department Hosting Monthly CPR/AED & First Aid Class

Ellwood City Fire Department will host their monthly CPR/AED and First Aid class on Wednesday April 6th at 6:30 p.m. The class will take place at the fire station, located at 411 6th Street, Ellwood City, PA 16117 The class teaches American Heart Association Courses. FTC Takes Action Against Multistate Auto Dealer Napleton Automotive

The Federal Trade Commission and the State of Illinois are taking action against Napleton, a large, multistate auto dealer group based in Illinois, for sneaking illegal junk fees for unwanted “add-ons” onto customers’ bills and for discriminating against Black consumers by charging them more for financing. Tower Road Bridge Replacement Begins Monday in Perry Township

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing bridge replacement work on Tower Road (Route 2009) in Perry Township, Lawrence County, will begin Monday, April 4 weather permitting. A reminder to Lincoln High School and Riverside High School seniors: The annual Ellwood City Area Historical Society Scholarship submission is quickly approaching. The deadline is Thursday April 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award two $1500.00 scholarships to two (2) graduating seniors.
