All Aboard! Students Treated To A Special Christmas Program Aboard “Ellsworth”

In a unique, cooperative effort among the Ellwood City Area Historical Society, All Aboard Ellwood Inc., and the Ellwood City Library, kindergarten students from North Side Elementary School and second graders from Riverside Elementary School were treated to a special Christmas program aboard “Ellsworth,” the Ellwood City Area Historical Society’s replica trolley. Mrs. Rachel Biermeyer, an associate Librarian at the Ellwood City Library, read a Christmas story and sang songs with the children during their individual class’s 30 minute session aboard Ellsworth. (KDKA) – Congressional Republicans investigating a possible impeachment of President Biden have subpoenaed his son, Hunter, to determine if his overseas business dealings benefited his father, the president. But their inquiry hits closer to home. They’ve also subpoenaed the president’s brother, James Biden, looking at his business dealings including what role he may have played in the takeover and subsequent closing of the Ellwood City Medical Center. North Side Students Give Back to Ellwood City Community

North Side Primary Students and Staff welcomed many Community Members and Partners to our school on Monday, December 18th. During the month of December, students are learning how good it makes all of us feel to GIVE. The students put this into practice when each classroom made a very special, giant sized Holiday Card thanking the local community agency and partner for the services they provide Ellwood City. Ellwood City Wolves Club Den Celebrates Christmas

The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II celebrated Christmas at the Connequenessing Country Club on Wednesday December 13. A buffet dinner of beef, chicken marsala. Shrimp linguine, corn zucchini blend, potatoes was enjoyed by 56 members, guests, wives and significant others. Santa Claus arrived and distributed candy, poinsettia’s and wine to some lucky guests. Legislators Must End Funding Delay for Community Colleges

Brown Introduces Legislation to Assist Small Businesses

HARRISBURG – Reps. Sharing Library Now Available In Franklin Township

The Lauten family has generously donated a Sharing Library. The Library is located outside the front of the Franklin Township building on Route 288. “This library is for the community,” reads a statement from the township. “If you see a book you would like to read, feel free to take it with you. Return it to this Sharing Library when you are finished.” Keep this Sharing Library operating by leaving books in here for others. Wampum American Legion Hosting New Year’s Eve Celebration

The Wampum American Legion Post 749 is bringing back a lost community tradition – come join the party! On December 31st the Legion will host a New Year’s Eve’s Party  –  the first New Year’ Celebration at the Legion since the 1990’s.
