Teen Suicide Seminar For Adults and Teens Thursday, November 5 & 12, 2015, 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. One in 23 U.S. teens has attempted suicide, according to a new national study, and one in eight has thought about it. As a parent what do you do, how can you tell if your teen is in distress? Wurtemburg United Methodist Second Saturday Soup Supper November

The Wurtemburg United Methodist Church will have a ‘Second Saturday’ Soup Supper on October 10 from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. Soups include stuffed pepper and veggie beef. There will also be Italian bread, homemade rolls, dessert, beverages, and refills. Dine-in and take out are both $5. Children under 5 are free. Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce Hosts “Stars & Stripes USO Dance”

On Saturday, Aug. 29, guests at the Stars & Stripes USO Dance hosted by the local Chamber of Commerce will be able to step back in time to a different era for an evening of dancing, music, refreshments and more that will whisk them back to America’s home front during World War II. Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce Announces New Executive Director

The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they have named Lori Wilkerson-Hilliard as the new Executive Director of the Chamber. Chief of Police Position Eliminated

The Ellwood City Borough Council, at an advertised public meeting on May 5, 2014, voted to eliminate the position of Chief of Police in a vote of 5-2, effective immediately. In accordance with the Borough Code, the mayor will continue to have full charge and control of the police force which includes directing the time, place and manner in which the police perform their duties, as well as determining the delegation of duties over the department.
