Support Group for Foster and Adoptive Mothers at Fountain First Baptist Church

If you’re a foster or adoptive parent/guardian, come join us on Sunday’s from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Fountain First Baptist Church. We meet in the church parlor, and the group is led by Shivonne Costa, MSW, a foster and adoptive mom and counselor. Enjoy refreshments as we offer and receive support from others in our community. Veterans’ Specialists to Visit Gibbons’ Office Next Week

March 1 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons today announced he will host two veterans’ specialists in his Ellwood City office next week. “I am happy to provide this service so veterans they can understand their rights and benefits,” Gibbons said, D-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence. Stephanie Bengoa and Ryan Paglia will participate in the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 to lend help to veterans and their families. Bengoa, of the American Legion Veterans Assistance Program, will be in Gibbons’ office to assist veterans with understanding what benefits they have earned, filing appeals to existing claims, enrolling in the Veterans…

Sanctuary Jazz Band to Perform at Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church

The Sanctuary Jazz Band will be in concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27 at Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church’s fellowship hall, 291 Wurtemburg Road, Wayne Township. The performance will be open to the public. A goodwill offering will be accepted to benefit the Carpenter’s Project.

CCBC Men’s Basketball Team Finds Success on and off the Court

Monaca, Pa. – With the spotlight on a new basketball team after a year-long hiatus, head men’s basketball coach Steve Brodzinski, who started at CCBC last February, took on the important task of coaching, mentoring, and preparing a team that is not only successful on the court but also in the classrooms at CCBC and beyond.
