Ellwood City, PA – Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Fall Fest & Car Cruise on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11 am – 5 pm on Lawrence Avenue.  There will be food, vendors, family activities, a car cruise, and local entertainment. Bernstine Applauds Borough’s Changes to Ellwood City Electric

ELLWOOD CITY – Following months of negotiations and legislative intervention, Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today praised Ellwood City Borough Council for adopting changes to Ellwood City Electric, which he said will ensure consumer protection, price stability and increased transparency for residents. The actions came after Bernstine and Sen. Elder Vogel (R-47) issued a letter to council members last month urging immediate implementation of several consumer-based changes. Bernstine’s legislation requiring the borough to adopt changes passed the House in April and was awaiting consideration by the Senate. Ellwood City Code Officer Requests Bagster’s be Removed

The Borough of Ellwood City has received numerous complaints about the “Green Bagster/ Dumpsters.” Remember that you must have them removed after you fill them. You get the “Bagsters” at various locations for $29.99. Removal is about $145.00. You must have them removed as it constitutes a buildup of trash and you may be subject to legal action. Stiefel Park Roller Hockey concluded their 2018 summer session Wednesday evening with three teams declaring victory in their respective divisions. Due to the number of teams this season, the league was able to create three divisions based on experience and competitiveness.  The A league housed four teams of experienced players both young and old.
