Bernstine to Provide Monthly Legislative Updates on WKST’s Morning Show with Ken Hlebovy

The Penn State Master Gardeners of Lawrence County will be hosting a Basic Training Class beginning Fall 2018. Jordan Brown’s Conviction in Murder Of Father’s Pregnant Fiancée Overturned

HARRISBURG, Pa. – It’s a case that has captured national and international attention — when at 11-years-old Jordan Brown of Lawrence County was charged with killing his father’s pregnant fiance nearly ten years ago. On Wednesday, in a unanimous decision, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned Brown’s conviction on a first-degree murder charge. Ellwood City 15u Softball Team Brings Home 2018 Lawrence County Championship

The team traveled to historic Dean Park in New Castle on Thursday evening to capture the championship hardware.  They started fast as they plated the first 10 runs of the game in the opening 3 innings to cruise home with an 11-5 victory over the Union Scotties. Potter Baseball Tour Stops In Ellwood City

The Potter Baseball Tour made its ninth annual stop in Ellwood City on Friday, July 13. Led by former Ellwood City baseball standout Jeff Potter, the tour visits over 30 cities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Virginia throughout July. The first tour game was played nine years ago on July 2, 2010 at Sanders Field. Since then the tour has become a staple in towns throughout the Middle Atlantic states.
