Local Fire, EMS Companies Receive Much-Needed State Grants

Grant funding will be coming to several first responder companies in the 9th Legislative District under a program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC) within the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), according to Representatives Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) and Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence). Every emergency service organization that completes the application process receives funding. Brown Announces Area Career and Technical School Receives Grant

HARRISBURG – Rep. Bernstine to Host ‘Supporting Our Seniors’ February 10th

Those who drive near the Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project are beginning to notice that construction of the new bridge over the Beaver River is now underway. The contractor is currently constructing new abutment footings and drilled shafts, pier footings and columns. Additionally, earthwork and drainage work continues to allow for the wider road and the new interchange ramps being constructed. First Annual Shoaf’s Spaghetti Supper To Be Held

The first annual Shoaf’s Spaghetti Supper will be held on February 24, 2024 at Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church (291 Wurtemburg Road, Ellwood City PA 16117) from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in memory of our dear friend, Marc Shoaf. Ellwood City Historical Society To Award Four Scholarships

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will award four (4) fifteen hundred dollar ($1,500.00) scholarships this year. All graduating seniors living in the Ellwood City Area School District or the Riverside School District are eligible. Applications and requirements may be obtained from either high school Guidance Counselor, or from the Ellwood City Area Historical Society.
