Rosalee J. Blatchford, 101, of Ellwood City passed away at the residence of her daughter on August 17, 2020. Born February 12, 1919 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late John and Cora (White) Snare. She was married for 63 years to Alfred L Blatchford who passed away September 3, 2004. Rosalee was a member of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1937. She was an associate member of the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary. Thomas M. Chappell, 59, of Chewton passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital following complications of a heart attack. Born October 28, 1960 in Ellwood City, PA, he was the son of Donald M. and Barbara J. Davis Chappell. Tom was a life long resident of Chewton. He was an active member of the Chewton Christian Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Chewton Polish White Eagles Club. Keith Edwards worked for Sheetz for 17 years and loved his farm. Janet L. Carpenter, 70, of New Castle, PA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born August 5, 1949 in Morgantown, WV to the late Delbert and Bonnie (Rea) Carpenter. Janet was a member of various churches throughout her lifetime. Alice Mae Ecenrode, 93, formerly of Wampum passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Avalon Place in New Castle. Born November 4, 1926 in Keeley, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Grace Lutz Hairhoger. Alice Mae was a graduate of Wampum High School. She worked as a clerk at the former Leonetti’s in Wampum and Lawson’s Grocery Store in Ellwood City. She was an active member and Deacon of the Wampum Presbyterian Church. Larry Edward “Ziggy” Zeigler, 67, of West Pittsburg passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Born February 20, 1953 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Dale R. and Helen L. (Baucom) Zeigler. Larry retired from Reactive Metals in West Pittsburg.
