Born May 15, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Zirock Gallaugher. He was married to Cheryl Heyl Gallaugher for 57 years when she passed away on February 1, 2018. Born February 11, 1936 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Alvi Ross VanGorder and Mary VanGorder Kennedy. She married John R. “Jack” MacDonald on April 27, 1956.
