Coltin T. Mawhinney, 29, of Portersville passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Butler Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Born May 30, 1994 in PIttsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Jr. and Shirley Richard Mawhinney. Coltin had attended Slippery Rock High School and worked as a laborer for Desuta Concrete in Portersville. He loved making people laugh and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Rudolph “Rudy” Valentino, 95, of Neshannock (formerly of Chewton) passed away Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Jameson Care Center. Born May 13, 1928 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Domenica DeMichele Valentino. Rudy worked as a Union Bricklayer for Massa Brothers and had retired from Medusa Cement in Wampum after 24 years of service. A Veteran of the US Army, he served during WWII. S. Edward “Ed” McCready, 75, of New Beaver Borough passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Although in ill health, his death was unexpected. Born January 10, 1949 in New Castle, he was the son of the late S. Wells and Sara Belle “Sally” Noggle McCready. Ed was known for his amazing sense of humor and for his ability to tell jokes. Born August 21, 1946 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Dudick) Kotuby. Karen graduated from Riverside High School and continued her education at Slippery Rock University. She retired from the Beaver Falls School District after 30 years as an Elementary School Teacher.
