Ellwood City Announces 2024 Clean Up Date

The Borough of Ellwood City has announced its annual fall clean up event scheduled next month. The Fall Clean Up event is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2024 and will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The drop off location is the parking lot at 1210 Factory Avenue in Ellwood City, just west of Adams Manufacturing Building #4 and prior to the Moose Lodge (same location as 2023). Wolverines Remain Unbeaten, Knock Off Mohawk 41-34

Elijah Palmer-McCane rushed for four touchdowns and Chris Smiley threw for two more as Ellwood City defeated Mohawk 41-34 Friday night at Helling Stadium. The Wolverines jumped out quickly, scoring first on a 49-yard touchdown toss from Smiley to Dom Hogue just minutes into the contest. Ellwood City stretched its lead to 14-0 when Palmer-McCane plunged in from two yards out with less than a minute remaining in the first frame. Covert, BC3 Men’s Golf Squad Seek To Repeat As Conference Champions

BUTER, PA — Lincoln High School grad Mitchell Covert and BC3 will begin pursuit of a fourth consecutive Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference men’s team title and a 10th under coach Bill Miller when it opens up its regular season against Westmoreland County Community College, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College and the host Community College of Allegheny County at North Park Golf Course. Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection event that is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024.. Keller Claims MAC Boys Golf Championship, Ellwood City Finishes 5th Overall

Jordan Keller collected the MAC Individual Championship on Tuesday afternoon at Fox Run Golf Course. The junior golfer finished with a 4-under round of 68. The individual performance helped pace the boys golf team to a 5th place finish among the 24 participating teams. “What a fantastic round against some great local high school competition,” said head coach Sam Barry after the championship. Ellwood City Announces 2024 Trick or Treat Night

Mayor Anthony J. Court and the Borough of Ellwood City has decided to change Trick or Treat night from previous years. School Shooting Threat Deemed Not Credible

A Lincoln High School student has been disciplined after making a threat on Tuesday. District information released to parents Tuesday afternoon was provided as follows: At 12:45 PM on Tuesday, 9/10/2024, [the district] administration was alerted to a threat made by a student, which stated that the student would “shoot up the school tomorrow.” The threat assessment team convened promptly and determined that the threat was non-credible.
