Talk about a high five! Senior Tyler Smiley went to the air and tossed five touchdown passes Friday Night as Ellwood City routed Riverside 48-14 on Senior Night. The quarterback connected with four different receivers on touchdown strikes with wideout DaiLonn Currie being the recipient of two. Ellwood City marched out early and collected four first half touchdowns to post a 26-0 halftime advantage. Drug Raid At Ellwood City Residence Results In Four Arrests

According to a criminal complaint, a task force raid at a house in Ellwood City results in the arrest of four local individuals and the seizuire of suspected methamphetamine and other suspected narcotics. Daniel Martin, 46; Donald McClain, 53; Ryleigh Lucas, 31; and Matthew Caldwell, 33, all of Ellwood City are each charged with counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance after the Lawrence County HIDTA Task Force executed a search warrant at a house at McClain’s address in the 400 block of Third Street, Ellwood City. Riverside Football & Cheerleaders Hosting Joint BINGO Night Fundraiser

For the first time, the Riverside Cheerleaders and Football Teams are teaming up to host a Joint Bingo Night Fundraiser! Join the boosters for a fun evening filled with bingo, games, and food on Sunday, October 19th at 3:00 p.m. at the North Sewickley Volunteer Fire Department. The fall season has arrived and it is the time to make the move! According to Redfin.com, the median sale price of a home in Lawrence County was $163,000 last month, up 9.8% since last year. More specifically, the median sale price of a home in Ellwood City was $162,000 last month, up 40.9% since last year. The median sale price per square foot in Ellwood City is $150, up 68.5% since last year. Unbeaten Western Beaver (7-0, 4-0 Section 2A-2) knocked off host Ellwood City 29-12 Friday night at Helling Stadium. Sydney Woodhead was crowned homecoming queen at halftime. Jackson Kerr was crowned Homecoming King at a pep rally on Thursday. Standout junior running back Wyatt Sparbanie went down with an injury in the first quarter but the visiting Golden Beavers leaned on two additional supplies of offensive in the conference victory. Lincoln Grad Covert BC3 Medalist, Top Seed In Championship That Begins Monday

(Salix, PA) Butler County Community College golfer Mitchell Covert fired a 72 on Friday and earned medalist honor as the Pioneers swept two opponents in advance of seeking their fifth consecutive postseason conference championship this week. Covert won by 2 strokes as an individual and BC3 by 2 strokes as a team against Westmoreland County Community College at the Windber Country Club, Salix. PHOTOS: Riverside Beats Freedom 37-7 On Homecoming

Mason Holler rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns Friday night as Riverside beat Freedom 37-7 on homecoming. Isabella Hall was named Riverside Homecoming Queen at halftime. Wideout Hunter Garcia hauled in five receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown to spark the Panthers offense. Garcia opened up the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run as part of his two-touchdown evening. Lincoln High School held its Homecoming pep rally Thursday in the large gymnasium. Jackson Kerr was crowned Homecoming King. Dom Hogue was runner-up. Holy Name Society Installs New Members

The mission of Divine Grace Parish’s Holy Name Society at Holy Redeemer Church is to promote reverence for the sacred names of God and Jesus Christ and help members grow in holiness. They’re also growing in number. Society president Frank Aloi says 23 new members recently were installed, bringing total membership to nearly 100. Men are invited to join. All who belong must be firm believers of what the Catholic Church believes and teaches, and put these beliefs and teachings into practice in their daily lives.
