Municipal Women’s Club Host Las Vegas Impersonator Tim Beasley

The Ellwood City Municipal Women’s Club hosts the Las Vegas Impersonator Tim Beasley on Saturday, October 20 at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6:00pm. Event will take place at the SOI Hall on Lawrence Avenue.  Tim Beasley has 32 years of experience as a performer traveling the country doing shows in a variety of venues; including Las Vegas. Beasley will be performing a two hour show impersonating Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. A show that is sure to evoke fond memories and might even encourage some dancing. There will be a ticket cost of a $25 donation per person….

Ellwood City Community Enrichment and the Ellwood City Area Public Library hosted Ellwood City’s 17th Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Ewing Park. The festival is a beloved community event that had featured free activities for children and professional storytellers. Katy’s Homestyle Bakery, Custom Cakes by Jodie, and an ice cream truck had been set up for attendees to purchase sweets. There was also free balloon art, face painting, and horse-drawn trolley rides. Congratulations to the Lincoln High School 2018 Homecoming Queen Court! The court that was announced last week includes Kaitlyn Francis, Bella Rangel, Mia DeCaria, Ariana Garroway, Natalia Greco, Katherina Boesendorfer, Madeline Spadafore, Isabella Roth, and Maura Agostinelli. Boesendorfer is an exchange student from Germany and is an honorary member of the court. Tickets for Ellwoods Friday Night Homecoming football game will be on sale Thursday & Friday in the main office at Lincoln High School. Riverside Bounces Back In Victory; Wolverines Fall Short On Road

After being handed a lopsided shutout defeat last week, the Riverside Panthers were looking to rebound on their home field Friday night and prevailed in a convincing 24-0 shutout victory over Western Beaver. The Panther defense bounced back in pitching the shutout, allowing less than 150 yards of total offense. The Riverside offense was able to score early and relied on the ground game to dictate the mistake-free victory. Local Student Graduates From Mortuary Institute

Ms. Carmella Marie Teolis recently graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. She is the daughter of Samuel A. and Michele Teolis, granddaughter of Samuel Teolis and Don and Toni Rutter. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2014, after which she attended the Butler County Community College for one year. After BC3, Carmella graduated from the Pittsburgh Technical College with high honors earning a degree in Applied Sciences and Office Administration along with becoming a certified Professional Medical Coder.
