Local Church Holds Live Auction and Pasta Dinner to Raise Scholarship Funds

ELLWOOD CITY, PA (Oct. 11, 2016) — North Sewickley Presbyterian Church, located at 106 Chapel Drive in North Sewickley Township, will host a pasta dinner and live auction fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, at 6 p.m., in their downstairs fellowship hall. The church is located across from Old Stonewall Golf Course and Shakespeare’s Restaurant.

All proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund for the church’s annual family retreat. A donation is requested for the dinner, as the main event is a live auction with Alan Adams, executive presbyter to the Beaver-Butler Presbytery. Antiques, large collectables, area business donations, sports tickets and even a weekend getaway package will all be available for bid. Participants are encouraged to bring their own treasures as well.

The NSPC Retreat Scholarship Fund was established 27 years ago to provide supplemental funding for those wishing to attend an annual fall family retreat the church offers. Each year, the family-oriented, Bible-based church embarks on a weekend trip to Seneca Hills Bible Camp to encourage Christian family, fellowship and education. The scholarship has provided money for single mothers, low-income families and often just larger families to be able to come and enjoy a relaxing weekend learning and growing in Christ.

For more information about the fundraiser, the retreat or scholarship funds available, call the church office at 724-752-1272. Visit www.nspreschurch.org or follow them on Facebook for more updates as well as worship and Sunday School times.
