September is here and that means Library Card Sign UP month.
Stop in to get your library card and learn what resources and materials are available to you. Your library more than just books, its 24 hour access to the information you need for daily living.
Parents with toddlers know that reading books is not only fun but helps prepare them for success in school. Children discover the world of shapes, colors, concepts through play and reading. Our Children’s Librarian, Miss Christine has a fun assortment of programs for parent and child involvement. You can register by calling the library 724.846.4340 or stop in.
Toddler Time! Wednesday mornings at 10:30am Sept 21st to Oct 26th. Ages 2-4 years.
It’s time to explore the world of animals. Our curriculum based theme through the Very Ready Reading Program will teach toddlers various aspects of animals each week. Through our partnership with the Private Industry Council, Community Innovation Zone Grant, each child will receive a free book to take home every week. Books at home supports parental engagement for your child’s academic success.
Pajama Story time! Monday, September 26, 6:00- 6:30 PM. Pre K and Families
Wear your PJs, bring your favorite stuffed animal or blanket and snuggle in for a bedtime snack and stories with neighborhood friends. Getting ready for bed is so much fun when stories are read to send you to dreamland.
Last call for golfers for the Library’s 5th Annual Golf Outing on Friday Sept 23rd at Black Hawk Golf Course Shot Gun Start at 9:00am. Registration from 7:45 to 8:45am and Foursomes are $350. For more information and to register, contact Jean at the Library 724.846.4340
Time to gather up your winter reading materials. The Library Annual Book Sale will be Sept 17th to Oct 1st during library hours. Sept 17th to Sept 20th materials will be priced individually. Starting Sept 21st the $5 bag will begin. Bags will be provided.
Join us on October 22nd from 7 to 9pm for “A Novel Evening”. The library will be hosting a local author’s event. It’s an evening to celebrate local, meet with local authors, get books and autographs, and sample the culinary delights of Beaver Falls. Authors range from Children, Fiction Young Adult and Non Fiction. There will be raffle baskets, silent auctions including a Framed #31 Penn State Jersey autographed by Paul Posluszny and Shane Conlan. Presale Tickets are $20 and $25 At the Door.
