5th Annual Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup

Calling All Volunteers & Supporters!

The 5th Annual Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup is fast approaching! Please help us restore this important waterway back to its beautiful, natural state by removing the physical garbage that consumes it.

So far we have removed over 200,000 pounds of garbage, including over 2,000 tires from just 30 miles of the 50 mile waterway! This year we are focusing on a 12 mile stretch, starting in Harmony and ending in Fombell. This is the first year the cleanup is in Butler and Beaver Counties! Join us in doing a good thing for the environment and community while feeling good and meeting new friends!

• Dates: Aug. 27 and Sept. 10, 2016
• Meeting Location: Live Out Baptist Church, 1718 PA-588 Fombell, PA 16123
• Time: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., both days
• Lunch, snacks, beverages, work gloves, & T-shirt provided
• Cleanup Needs: 3 rolls of orange field marking tape/colored electrical tape, Rope, Chains, 10 tarps, 10 pry bars, 2 chainsaws, 5 sledgehammers, 10 old metal ladders, 2-3 washing stations, 3-4 portable toilets, 10 tin-cutters, hip waders, use of 2 pressure washers, use of 3 brush cutters/weed eaters, use of 15+ pickup/dump trucks with/without winches, use of 20 canoes, use of 20 aluminum/metal boats, 10+ floatation devices/life jackets, use of skid loader/Bobcat, use of trailers, portable winches, etc.
