The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
HOURS
Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.
BOOK SALE COLLECTION:
We are taking donations for the book sale in October. We do not take textbooks, readers digest condensed books, magazines, encyclopedias or VHS tapes.
Activities taking place this week include.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
- 10:30 a.m. –“Music, Movement and More,” a program for children to dance, sing and play instruments.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
- 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – “Adult Special Needs Hangout,” come as an individual or with a group. Crafts and activities provided but feel free to bring your own as well. All are welcome.
- 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Club,” come and hang out, do crafts, play games, and have a snack.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own supplies or use ours.
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” work on your own individual projects while socializing with other knitters.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3
The first Saturday of the month is Library Saturday! We have a day full of FUN for all ages. No need to sign up for any of these activities.
- 9:00am – Hometown Hero Storytime: Join us while we talk about Firefighters and even get to meet a real one!
- 9:30am – Lego Club: all ages invited to this free and fun building program.
- 10:45am: Pokémon Club: join us each month to trade cards, battle Pokémon, play games, and create Pokémon themed crafts. All ages invited.
- 12:00 pm: “Choose Your Own Book Club” for 3rd – 5th graders. Each month, you pick the book you want to read then join our meeting to discuss your book, eat snacks, and do fun book themed activities.
- 1:45pm: Tween & Teen Cooking for 6th – 12th graders: Learn how to make easy at home snacks and meals.
- 2:30pm: “Books, Thoughts, & Snacks for 6th – 12th graders: Each month, you pick the book you want to read then join our meeting to discuss your book, eat snacks, and work on a provided book journal.
