Boxing fans in Beaver and Lawrence Counties will have a big night to look forward to this September as six premier fights come to Brady’s Run Lodge on September 11 for an event that promises to be much more than a night at the fights.
The doors open at 5 p.m., with the first bell scheduled for 6:30 p.m., giving fans plenty of time to settle in, grab some food, enjoy the music and get ready for an evening of live boxing featuring some of the region’s most promising talent.
Josh Carr, owner of Royal Lions Boxing LLC, who is the organizer of the event wants to make one thing clear: this is not your typical boxing event.
The evening is being designed as an elite, professional experience from the moment fans walk through the door. Along with six exciting bouts, the event will feature good Italian food from the Ambridge Italian Villa—not the usual concession-stand fare—and local DJ Rayner Shine providing music throughout the evening. In other words, come for the boxing, but also enjoy the food, music, and atmosphere.
“The fights are very well matched,” Josh said. “This event is very competitive.”

The fighters scheduled to compete are local athletes from Lawrence and Beaver Counties, with several boxers preparing to make their professional debuts.

Three Ellwood City Fighters Add Hometown Pride to the Card
Adding even more local flavor to the September 11 event will be three fighters with deep Ellwood City connections: Jordan Carr, Ben Maine and Devon Siegfried.
For fans in Ellwood City, these three names bring a little extra reason to get out to Brady’s Run Lodge. Each fighter represents a different chapter in the area’s long boxing tradition, but all three share the same hometown fighting spirit.
That work ethic has continued to pay off. Carr later began training at Beaver Valley Boxing and, entered his professional career undefeated at 2-0. His ambitions are anything but small: Carr has made it clear that he wants to climb all the way to the top of the sport.
Then there is Ben Maine, another name with a serious Ellwood City boxing pedigree. Maine competed on the national stage in the 2009 National Silver Gloves Championships, representing Ellwood City in the 178-pound division. He reached the championship bout, facing Jerry Odom of Bowie, Maryland.
And longtime local boxing fans certainly know the name Devon Siegfried.
Siegfried’s boxing story began in 2016 when a friend brought him to the Ellwood City Police Boxing Club, where coach Jack Maine took him under his wing. He quickly developed into one of the area’s standout fighters. Siegfried became a Western Pennsylvania Golden Gloves champion, later won the 2021 Pennsylvania State Golden Gloves open championship, and advanced to the National Golden Gloves competition in 2022.
Siegfried has also carried the Ellwood City name into the professional ranks. His professional career has featured an impressive run of knockouts, according to his fighter-management profile.
Together, Carr, Maine and Siegfried help tell the story of why this September 11 event is about more than six fights … it’s about a boxing community.
Ellwood City has a long-running boxing tradition, and the Ellwood City Police Boxing Club has served generations of local athletes while providing young people with an outlet for fitness, discipline, mentorship and competition. The club’s coaches have long emphasized that boxing is about much more than what happens between the ropes.
Now, fans will have the opportunity to see that tradition represented at an elite event just down the road.
The Community Is Part of the Card
While the September 11 event is shaping up to be a special night, organizers are also asking the community to step into the ring with them.
