Jordan Keller finished with a 2-day score of 169 (86-83, +26) to earn a 26th place finish in the 2025 WPIAL Class 2A Boys’ Individual Championships.
The two day event wrapped up Tuesday at Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray, PA after opening at the Hill Crest Country Club in Lower Burrell last week.
Jaxon Rozanski (86-85, +28) finished in 32nd for Ellwood City.
Both Wolverine golfers failed to make the cut and advance to the PIAA. The cut line was +19 for the Class 2A Individual Championships.
Keller birdied the Par 4 8th hole en route to his round of 83 on Tuesday. Rozanski knocked home a birdie on the Par 5 2nd hole.
OLSH senior Jonah Schollaert shot a sizzling opening round of 69 and captured the championship with a round of 75 on Tuesday to claim Class 2A title by two strokes with a 36-hole score of 144 (+1). Neshannock senior Rocco Bautti finished with a two-day score of 149 (+6) to earn 3rd place.
The top 18 finishers among the 43 qualified golfers advanced to the PIAA Championships to be held at Penn State on October 20, 2025.
The Ellwood City boys golf team finished its regular season 15-1 (11-1 Class 2A, Section 5) and will next participate in the Class 2A team playoffs.
