THEFT:
On August 16th, and at approximately 6:00 a.m., police responded to a report of Online Theft. Upon further investigation, officers learned that the victims, a 71-year-old female and 73-year-old male both of Volant, were frauded $3000.00 total from a fake Facebook post regarding listed items for sale according to a criminal complaint.
THEFT:
Tyler Nicolls, 34, of New Castle, is charged with Theft of a motor vehicle after an incident occurring on August 12th at approximately 9:34 a.m. Police were informed by the victim that she allowed Nicolls to use the vehicle to take him to and from work, but Nicolls continued to use the vehicle at his leisure which the victim and New Castle police clearly instructed him not to. According to a criminal complaint, Nicoll is still in possession of the vehicle and has not returned it.
THEFT:
Charles Kriegisch, 26, of Ellwood City, is charged with Retail Theft after an incident occurring on August 15th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 5:59 p.m., police were dispatched to Sheetz in Ellwood City on report of retail theft committed by Kriegisch. The Sheetz manager advised to the officers that Kriegisch fled towards Fountain Ave to which police located him on 4th Street near the railroad tracks. Officers were able to detain Kreigisch after deploying K-9 Nico on him according to the complaint.
ASSAULT:
Joseph Miller, 53, of Ellwood City, is charged with Simple Assault after an incident occurring on May 15th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 6:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on 1st Street, Ellwood City for a report of physical disturbance. Police spoke to two individuals who advised that Miller had followed the female and when she had stopped, Miller grabbed her by the throat and hit the victim in the face. The victim’s friend then grabbed Miller and started a physical altercation according to the complaint.
ASSAULT:
Trent Sirak, 22, of Ellwood City is charged with Simple Assault after an incident occurring on August 4th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 11:11p.m., officers were dispatched to a nearby hospital on report of a physical altercation that occurred at a residence on Volpes Way in Wayne Township. The victim advised that he and a friend were working on a vehicle out of the garage when Sirak approached and was irate about a coffee cup that was in a shed on the property. The victim continued to relate that Sirak became physical and began to punch him in the face and body to which he attempted to defend himself but was tossed to the ground and kicked multiple times according to the complaint.
