On Wednesday, February 23, the Ellwood City Wolves Club presented a donation to the Ellwood City Meals on Wheels Program Director Terri Crespo.
Terri presented the history of the program which started in at the Calvin United Presbyterian Church. It moved to the Ellwood City Hospital. When the Ellwood City Hospital closed the Calvin United Presbyterian Church again agreed to host the program. The program serves 80 people in the greater Ellwood City area. The clients receive a cold meal and a hot meal each weekday. This delivery also allows the delivery driver to check on the client to ensure they are okay.
Terri thanks the volunteers who help prepare, pack and deliver the meals in all kinds of weather.
The Ellwood City Wolves Club motto is Pro Bono Publico meaning “for the good of the public” and meets twice a month: the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
