Lincoln High School Senior Ariana Garroway has decided to continue her softball career by signing with Robert Morris University.
Leading up to this opportunity has been years of hard work in her varsity softball career. Within the past three years, Garroway had proven herself to her coach multiple times.
After her sophomore season, Garroway had been given the title of The Times’ 2017 Softball Player of the Year after leading the Lady Wolverines to their second consecutive WPIAL Championship.
“She’s so athletic. She has all kinds of potential. She’s only a sophomore, but she has a chance to be special. I’m glad we have her for two more years,” Ellwood Softball Coach Gary Rozanski had said to the Beaver County Times back in 2017.
Since her sophomore year, Garroway had improved immensely on her craft.
She finished her junior softball season with a .352 batting average, she had scored her team 25 runs alone, she had 9 runs batted in, and 19 solid hits that season.
The Wolverines again advanced in the WPIAL Playoffs in 2018 but were upended by defending PIAA champion South Park.
Garroway, who had stated she prides herself in being a two-way player, has proven herself as a catch as well. Garroway converted 4 double plays to go along with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
