Activities for Week of January 30, 2017 Ellwood City Area Public Library

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:

Wednesday, February 1, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a new concept in helping to reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.

Wednesday, February 1, at 3:00 p.m. – Creative Writing Workshop for students in 7^th grade and up. The group meets twice each month to share their work and discuss writing tips and techniques. Call the library for more information.

Wednesday, February 1, at 6:30 p.m. – Evening Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “The Light Between Oceans,” by M.L. Stedman. Call the library for more information.

Thursday, February 2, at 6:30 p.m. – A special “Groundhog Day” Party for all area children and their families. It’s a great time to crawl out of our cozy winter burrows for an evening of crafts, books, a readers’ theater play, songs and snacks!! Call the library to register or for more information.

Saturday, February 4, at 12:00 Noon – “Twenty-Something Book Discussion Group,” a book discussion group for college-aged students and people in their twenties. The group will discuss the book, “The Last Days of Magic,” by Mark Tompkins. Call the library for more information.

Plans are to resume the “Movie Nights for Adults” in February, with the date set for Wednesday, February 22. Movies will continue to be held monthly through the end of the year. Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.
