Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” J. Pullion, 92, of Ellwood City and formerly of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, June 28th, 2026 at the Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in East Palestine, Ohio.
Betty was born on June 6th, 1934 in New Brighton to the late Milon and Emily (Carevic) Fabyanic. She graduated from New Brighton High School with the class of 1952. She was the co-owner/operator of Pullion’s Market along side her late husband James in New Brighton until her retirement. She was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Popoff of Ellwood City, Esther Jacobs of Union Township, and Kathy Mendenhall of Las Vegas, NV, sons, John R. (Kim) Pullion of Columbiana, OH, William Pullion of Florida, and Phillip Pullion of Los Angeles, CA, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James R. Pullion Jr. whom she married on November 20th, 1954 and passed away on January 23rd, 1997, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Joseph Petrie, sisters Frances Balin and Mary J. Tislaretz, brothers, Frank, Steve, John, and Ivan Fabyanic, and sons-in-law Ronald Popoff and John Mendenhall.
Family and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at 11:30 am at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church with Father James Wehner officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
